It was Ford Cortina MK3, one of the versions of Ford Cortina series. This type of car was produced from 1970 till 1976. It was created under the strong influence of the parent American company. You can recognize Ford Cortina MK3 by its “Coke bottle styling”. The car had many different modifications and was equipped with engines ranging from 1.3 to 4.1 liters. The design of the car had little in common with its predecessors, and the inherited elements and assemblies, such as the engines of the Kent family, underwent significant modifications and upgrades. On the road the Cortina was easy to drive, with admirably light controls. It was the most popular new car in Britain in the early seventies. The MK3 was never sold in the US, although it was available in Canada until 1973.
